Ok since I been with out PS for about a week I finished up some other craft projects I had laying around. As you all know I do crafts, I posted my diaper cake a while back, well I also do boxes and baskets. Here are my two latest ones.

Green one is for my mom and blue is for my aunt. The insides are lines with padded sponge and felt, and the lids are cushioned. I usually put ribbons on my boxes but since the fabric was Asian I chose trim instead.

Sorry for the dark pics I couldnt use flash cause the fabric is too reflective and I live in a cave ^_^

Thnx guys

Hehe the tiles you are looking at is my coffee table and my couch in the back ground.

The boxes are just small gift boxes. They were like 50 cents and covered in some hideous printed paper, I usually use paper mache hat boxes but those cause between $4-$20 each and since these were of decent size AND cheap as hell I bought like 6 of them.

During xmas I like to give away a bunch as gifts, I usually fill them with chocolates or other goodies. But in this case I had two 3" glass orbs that I put in as gifts. The boxes them selves are the gifts really but you cant give an empty container can you ^_^

Ive sold a few in my day for like $50 I wish I could make a business doing gift wrap and gift baskets or containers for a living. I had a friend that used to do it for a living selling her boxes for $150 a pop. She put wine and cheese in hers n stuff but she stopped so she could attend culinary school.

I have one more to make too , its for my BF's Mom cause shes super sweet to me. Ill post that one when Im done.

Heh, I thought those were CG boxes and you were showing off your artistic talent using which-ever program you used to create them. I was about to say nice texturing on the boxes. Embarassed

Forgive me. I'm living on 3 to 4 hours of sleep a day with my new job and taking care of my little one during the day. It's beating me senseless (as you can tell from my above post). *snickers*

/laughs at Zanta

Although the trim would pose an issue rendering these boxes wouldn't be that difficult hehe

Harumph, and I sit here and make Aztec-Kahlua *(spicier than normal stuff) and reuse bottles and dip them in colored wax to seal them too as Xmas presents.

Imagine kahlua with a hint of cinamon, peppers, vanilla and a secret aztec spice too. Everyone loves it and wants my recipe vs the gifts this year. And no I won't post it. This brewer still has some secrets.

Oh, those are just beautiful, Dreleen. What a bundle of talent you are! I think I like the dragon one best, including the luxuriant trim. In the Chinese zodiac, I am an iron dragon Razz

I can think of any number of people I know who would be thrilled to have a gift like that, including myself. Having something inside would be the icing on the cake. Not only are they attractive boxes that can be used as gift containers, they also address the issue of recycling (i.e. less gift wrap used is fewer trees destroyed).

I think you should open your own online business. You'd be better off with your own site, use PayPal for transactions (which also allows people to us credit cards), and market. I know for a fact that I would buy at least one as a gift. Your fans here at WTFC numerous too. And that's just one forum. Your biggest expense will be your website and getting it set up to accept payments, but after that it is minimal. I'd go for it, if I were you. It won't take that much time after it is set up and you can do it in between doing other things.

Something to think about Wink

Absolutely beautiful! I fully agree with everyone else I'd love to get something like this as a gift or even give them!
